The United Agenda of Occupy Missoula
They have taken our houses through illegal foreclosure proceedings, despite not having the original mortgage.
They, the trusted bankers, have taken too big to fail bailouts, from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.
They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based only on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.
They have poisoned the food supply through profitable negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.
They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices.
They have endangered the future of the human race by creating potentially dangerous genetically engineered organisms or G.M.O’s .
They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for a better living wage and safer working conditions.
They have invested countless millions of dollars on anti union propaganda and union busting tactics.
They have held the future of students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of ever increasing debts on education; in which education is itself a human right that benefits all of humanity.
They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ benefits such as health-care and pay.
They have spent countless millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance, and simultaneously make a hefty profit in pimping useless health insurance to gainfully employed workers.
They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as we the people, with none of the culpability or responsibility. The general consensus Most of the poor will not except a corporation as a “human-being” until a state with a death penalty executes one.
They have sold our privacy to the highest paying bidder. You’re nothing more than a profit generating commodity to be gambled on Wall Street in a digital New York nanosecond.
YES, they have sold our privacy as a commodity with your ignorant misled consent and will continue to do so if you don’t STAND UP and SPEAK OUT publicly!
They have used the military and law enforcement to prevent the basic freedoms of free press. More so over they purposefully keep the people misinformed and fearful through their iron fisted control of the mainstream media. And this is also why our government now is politicking for the total annihilation of the existing free global systems of information exchange that is the Internet!
They have donated both public & private large sums of money to politicians supposed to be regulating them in a system of checks and balances now malfunctioning and battered by continuing legal trickery.
They continue to suppress affordable alternative forms of energy to keep us totally dependent on oil, on both domestic and foreign based resources abroad.
They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives in order to protect investments that they have already turned a substantive profit off of just for the sake of profiteering.
They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in the pursuit of gluttonous profit.
They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about the individuals guilt.
They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad as occupying keepers of the peace.
They have participated in the torture and mass murder of innocent civilians overseas.
They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive Government contracts. That keep the engine of our military industrial complex turning and running up a never ending, never returning cycle of mounting debt that only benefits the few in the 1% .
To the people of the world,
We, The Occupying people of the Missoula City General Assembly stand as one with our brothers and sisters of the “Occupy Wall Street” protest in Liberty Square. We urge you to assert your individual power and join us!
Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the countless problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone – this is just part of why we protest!
A most humbling list of issues that has inspired so many people to take action, its not what we are for but what we are standing against that set us apart.
Based off of the Occupy Wall Street list of issues on the agenda.
